3/27/2008 changesI wrote my first entry almost 3 years ago. I moved my blog on new location, on www.visnar.eu. It was quite hard to decided why to change it, cause I have good rating, but still, I wasn’t satisfied any more with support. Life is full of changes and if you don’t try, you don’t know what will happen. "1" car number plateAlmost a month ago I wrote about expensive car number plates. Yesterday was in Abu Dhabi auctioned number "1" which fetches 9,7 million EUR and enters the Guinness Book of Records as "the most expensive car number plate". Plate was sold to Abu Dhabi businessman Saeed Abdul Ghafar Khouri, who described his business as property development and sharemarket-related. Proceeds from the auction will be used to build a rehabilitation center for traffic accidents victims - the first of its kind in the UAE.  2/1/2008 Dubai get new Crown PrinceToday Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, the eldest son of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum and Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma al Maktoum, at the age of 25 became the Crown Prince of Dubai. Sheikh Hamdan was schooled in Dubai (Rashid Private School) and then continued his studies in the UK and graduated from Sandhurst. He was recently appointed as the Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council. He is currently holding other positions including the Head of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid centre for Young Business Leaders and the President of Dubai Sports Council. His poetry is well known in Dubai and the Arab world; his poems are mainly romantic, patriotic and about his family. He publishes his poems under the name Fazza (فزاع). He is also a noted horse rider who has participated in many international endurance races and has won many gold medals. |
